Lars studied law at the University of Konstanz and completed his legal clerkship was trainee lawyer at the district court Dortmund. He completed his subsequent studies in tax law at the University of Osnabrück with the degree LL.M. Taxation. Subsequently, he studied tax law at the University Osnabrück which led to the title LL.M. taxation. He is a Certified Specialist Lawyer for Commercial and Corporate Law and has been appointed as a notary in the district of the local court at Frankfurt am Main. Prior to joining avocado Rechtsanwälte as a partner, he worked for eleven years at HERMANN (now: hww), a nationwide law firm specialising in insolvency law, most recently as a partner.

Lars works most predominantly as a notary, in particular in corporate and real estate law.including, but not limited to, corporate and real estate law, as well as all other areas which require notarial services (e.g. inheritance law, family law), Because of his long-time services for insolvency administrators, he is experienced in pre-insolvency situations. This includes both services as a notary (“Asset Protection”) and as a litigator regarding claims with respect to insolvency law (liability of managing directors, claims regarding insolvency avoidance law). He provides his services to small and medium-sized entities as well as real estate investors, lawyers, auditors, tax advisors, management consultants and insolvency administrators.

Lars is a member of the examination board for the notarial examination at the Federal Chamber of Notaries in Berlin; he is also a lecturer at the DAI Deutsches Anwaltsinstitut e.V (DAI) and at the HERA Fortbildungs GmbH der hessischen Rechtsanwaltschaft.
